The SOS show has now come down but is already destined to reappear at the inaugural Bangkok Art Biennale in October 2018.
A number of cup and saucer sets from the installation will become available for sale later this month, for a brief time only.
If you would like to register your interest in owning a piece of the original installation (featured in New York Magazine, The Bangkok Post and Thai Tatler Magazine) please email info@candicetripp.com or contact me here.
Each cup was hand painted by myself. The project was split over two trips to Bangkok and took four weeks to complete in total. Central to the theme of the show was community, so it was important to us that local ceramicists were sought to provide and fire the cups once I had painted them.
It made for an incredibly fraught build up to the show as we moved immediately into building the rest of the installation but I hit my stride at around cup #62 and look forward to seeing the house and it's various components re-installed at an international art event.
